Everybody Needs Food: A Transformative Digital Response from Rev. Dr. Yvette Blair-Lavallais and Rev. Rochelle Andrews

At Transform Network, we believe that justice lives at the intersection of faith and innovation. Today, we are honored to celebrate one of our own—Rev. Dr. Yvette Blair-Lavallais, Transform Network board member, food justice theologian, and Union Theological Seminary TIDEL Fellow—who just launched a new digital platform that addresses food insecurity with bold compassion and visionary clarity.

“Our website is live!” she announced joyfully, marking the launch of EveryBodyNeedsFood.org—a resource hub designed with and for food insecure neighbors and churches. In partnership with her TIDEL fellowship colleague, Rev. Rochelle Andrews, Dr. Blair-Lavallais is answering a vital call: to make food access easier, searchable, and human-centered.

“EveryBodyNeedsFood.org is a resource hub that helps food insecure neighbors and churches take the guesswork out of finding food.”

This interactive site features a searchable database for Memphis and Nashville, connecting community members to locations offering free or low-cost fresh, healthy food. This is more than a website—it's a commitment to those often left out of systemic solutions. As Rev. Dr. Blair-Lavallais shared:

“So grateful for this amazing opportunity and experience of being a TIDEL fellow these last 18 months and doing human-centered design thinking to respond to the human condition of marginalized neighbors who are food insecure.”

At Transform, we recognize that food justice is theological work. It is rooted in the belief that all people are sacred and deserving of nourishment. Rev. Dr. Blair-Lavallais lives this out daily, and this platform reflects her prophetic imagination and pastoral care in action.

She also gave flowers to those who helped bring the vision to life:

“Shout out to our amazing web and logo designer Christian Belton at CB Creates! She caught the vision and helped us create this innovative platform.”

This is only the beginning. As the website grows beyond Middle and West Tennessee, EveryBodyNeedsFood.org will serve as a beacon of what’s possible when community needs, theological vision, and creative strategy come together.
