The Reproductive Justice Summit is an annual community-based and targeted event coordinated by SisterReach to bring the community together around a specific theme and to educate and raise community awareness about Reproductive Justice. This year’s theme for the Summit is “Self-Care & Awareness”.
Based in the reproductive justice tenet and model surrounding “Self-Help,” SisterReach defines Self-care as:
Self-care is any necessary human regulatory function that is under individual control, deliberate and self-initiated. It is any activity that done deliberately to support our mental emotional and physical health. It is care of self with or without medical or professional consultation. In some cases, it is the combination of traditional and alternative medicinal practice.
Participants will experience a myriad of workshops, plenaries, and other structured activities dedicated to this important Reproductive Justice tenet.
