The first speaker in this series is the Rev. Andrew Wilkes, who will discuss his book, Freedom Notes: Reflections on Faith, Justice, and the Possibility of Democracy. Rev. Wilkes is the Principal of Wilkes Advocacy Group and the former Associate Pastor of Social Justice and Young Adults at the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York (GAC), where he served on the pastoral staff for five years. Dr. Cornel West said of Wilkes, "Andrew is one of the most talented organic intellectuals of his generation.
