I'm ready for advent...

I'm slouching toward Bethlehem.

Keeping some of the Christmas season at arm's length -- I don't want to be tired of it by the time it gets here. I'm certainly a Christmas Christian -- in love with the Incarnation and all that it implies for me about the holiness of ordinary experience.

With all the pain and dullness of life, Christmas is ready to descend with all its hope...
