Who is this Eliacín guy?

I was born in Puerto Rico moved to the Pacific Northwest.

I'm a husband/ father/ roaming spiritual provocateur/ rabble rouser/ organizer/ communitarian/ networker/ grassroots practitioner/ community cultivator/ unschooled practical educator/ organic intellectual/ coffee drinker/ theo-philospher wannabe.

My wife and I facilitate conversations about:
alternative living
emergent church
autonomous movements
spiritual de/formation
home-education
intentional community
neo monasticism
homegrown revolution and subversive Christianity

My family is part of The Mustard Seed House - a neo-monastic/intentional educational community in Seattle - where they eat, play, work, garden, pray and conspire for a new reality. I am part of the peer-lead pastoral care group at my home church Church of the Apostles in Seattle. I am in the process of discernment for Holy Orders in the Episcopal Church, that means I am a Priest wannabe.

I'm an accomplice of Anglimergent, is a generous and generative friendship among diverse Anglicans, engaging emerging church and mission. Also an instigator in the Commission For Emerging Ministries for the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia.

I'm one of the founder conspirators at The Common Root, a movement made up of denominational Anabaptists (like Mennonites, Brethren in Christ, and Church of the Brethren), neo-Anabaptists, peace-minded liberationists, Catholic Workers, and other theological exiles and refugees.

I'm part of the Mustard Seed Associates team. MSA (Mustard Seed Associates) is a community of Jesus’ followers all over the world striving to create the future one mustard seed at a time. MSA provides resources and a network for committed followers of Jesus to anticipate the future, decode the culture, convey the Kingdom of God and create new ways of being a difference and make a difference. Find out more at www.msainfo.org

Other involvements and connections include:
hispanic ministry
emergent church
intentional community
multiculturalism
global justice movements
autonomous movements
new monasticism
spiritual listening
creative expressions of church
anti-racism and racial reconciliation

thanks, eliacin. i'm interested to see how this is used! honestly, my first thought was "another network to join?!" but i'm hoping it is very fruitful from many angles, especially on the praxis side as well as the "how can a group of people start from scratch" side. i see there is already a forum thread along those lines!

hoping to make it to seattle eventually and that we can meet up.

Well.. I'm not sure about that. It is good to see. And, yes, I'm "here". But mostly observing and saying "yes, please, more". But, not really doing anything.

I'm coming through and will probably need somewhere in Portland to filter vegetable oil... all I really need is a plug. Any communities in that area that can offer some hospitality to a traveling stranger?
