What are you doing to foster missional community where you are?

Much of what constitutes missional in Sandersville, MS is simply being in community with different ethnic groups and the many poor in the area. Racial and economic barriers continue to divide this region in ways that are both unwise and ungodly. In many respects, I do what I did when I was a cook for twenty years, I just "hang out" with as many people folks as I get to meet. For example, here in MS, racial reconciliation is a big issue. I don't consciously think of my relationships as being racially reconciling, I just have lots of friends, aquaintances, and fellow ministers I know who are from various communities and whatnot. We simply share in fellowship, good times, laugh and cry together, and recognize the imago dei in each other. Sadly, many in this area aren't there yet. But we carry on and continue to pray and live for that day.
