Some of you have already responded on FaceBook, but here is a good place to add some more songs and hymns that you think speak to the spirit of the Outlaw Preachers and how we relate to God's world around us!
the one that hits me every time as i hear it and also a song that penetrates my experience with god and ministry is "run" by king's x. i posted about it and some other outlaws commented on it. it's my anthem for the church. actually the king's x discography is pretty much my spiritual autobiographical soundtrack.
Amazing Grace, sung to either the tune of House of the Rising Sun (quite fitting), Peaceful Esay Feeling (what grace can give you), or the theme from Gilligan's Island (just cause it sounds different!)
Check out this new CD of 'world emergent' worship at www.soutproject.net. It emerged from our small community here in Cape Town, curated by our resident musical genius, Nic Paton.
Lately I've been listening to the Robin Mark album, "Year of Grace". This is an amazing album! It is available at Amazon. You can find Robin Mark @ http://www.RobinMark.com
Rita Springer is also a fav of mine, I especially love the song, "King of the Jews". She can be found @ http://www.RitaSpringer.com
But then again, I'm almost always up for some AC/DC! ...HA!!
