Position in DC Area
Our church - which includes both traditional PCUSA and emergent communities will be looking to fill a position soon in Alexandria, VA. Just beginning to work on job description, but the position will most likely involve volunteer coordination and administration.
Great position for someone with a passion for those skills with a vision of the church as it could be.

I'm a Lutheran pastor just over the river in Clinton, MD and while I'm not looking to move, I am interested in connecting with others in the DC area, especially those who are communities with both a traditional mainline flavor as well as an emergent flavor. I hope we can get to know each other a bit.

Kate - we should get together. I've been in our church for a really long time - which is maybe why we've been able to swing the whole emerging church w/in an established church thing. Do you ever get into DC?

That would be great. Yeah, I occasionally get into DC - lately it seems like at least once a week I'm there. I could meet you anywhere really. DC's not that far or we could meet in Alexandria (Clinton is literally just over the Potomac, it's where Andrews AFB is). Just let me know what you're thinking.
