Call For Submissons

Friends,

I want to invite those in the Transform Network to consider submitting to the first Civitas Press community project called, The Practice Of Love: Living in the Kingdom Of God.  Several in the community have already submitted some really great ideas and we're looking for some more.

This first project will be a joint effort of writers who are interested in writing an essay on the practice of love.  We’re looking for 1,000-2,000 word essays or stories on your personal experience of practicing love in a significant and meaningful way.  What was the cost and value of living into the Kingdom of God?  We’re not looking for theological treatise on why you should practice love, but on what it was like to live into the footsteps of Jesus.

The project is being broken up into four distinct categories: Loving God, Loving Myself, Loving My Neighbor, Loving The Enemy.  Each category will be balanced so there is a limit to the number of submissions in each category.  We are currently estimating a total of 15 essays in each category.  We are also not limiting this to experiences in the past.  If you would like to take on a specific challenge and write about, we will consider these submissions too. We will publish the project when the manuscript has enough submissions in each category.  You may submit more than one story but we will show preference to stories in different categories.
