Better Terminology

We recently began a missional community in our home in Springfield, IL. Our focus is on a neighborhood - predominantly "working poor." We are seeking a better term than "working poor." I know we could just use "people" and maybe that'll be it. However, is there another term out there that folks are familiar with? Thanks!
